M Price was pleased to have been selected as the main façade contractor for The Compton – a luxurious residential development located in one of London’s most prestigious suburbs, St John’s Wood. The ten-storey residential building offers a collection of contemporary apartments and spacious penthouses.
Located in one of London’s most desirable locations, each of The Compton’s luxurious apartment is planned and internally designed to make the most out of the picturesque views.
The surrounding area’s architectural design influenced by the Art Deco style has inspired the design of The Compton and its characteristic motifs are imprinted in the building’s signature features.
M Price’s involvement in this project brought impeccable results. Our team worked closely with the developers and architects in producing and delivering an exterior composed entirely of cast aluminium. The aluminium façade is unique in its carved patterns and textures, while the building’s colour changes based on the light. We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with recycled materials in this project, giving The Compton a beautifully detailed exterior with a sustainable and eco-friendly outcome.
M Price designed, supplied, and installed all the glazing including the curved glass elements which were procured from a specialist company in Spain. We managed the supply chain for the cast aluminium including the design of the supporting structure and the installation of the cast aluminium cladding panels.
M Price were best placed to deliver this project due to their background and extensive experience in providing the best solutions in multiple disciplines. In order to provide the optimum solution for the project while considering all the factors of technical performance in relation to cost, M Price decided to use a blend of systems with high performing sliding Reynaers doors into Schuco curtain wall. The foundry that produced the cast aluminium panels has developed a bespoke production line facility specifically for high volume construction projects.
Not only is the building stunningly beautiful but it delivers a combination of thermal efficiency and acoustic performance that makes living in the apartments a comfortable and luxurious experience. The unique design, the style perfectly integrated with the surroundings, and the materials chosen for The Compton outline a new era for the British architecture.
The Regent’s Park – one of the capital’s most magnificent parklands – is minutes away from the development offering residents and visitors a wide variety of activities: an open-air theatre, splendid gardens and landscapes, playgrounds, and visits to the London Zoo.
The Compton was designed by the famous Simon Bowden Architecture studio and build by luxury developer Regal London.
